Senem Göcmen spent her childhood and youth in Hamm, Germany. She garnered first experiences on set during an internship at Constantin Entertainment in Munich.
In 2012 she graduated as B.A. in Media Studies from Braunschweig University of Art and gained mention as honorable student. She took part in the school's theatre production and worked as editor and director on several short films.
Since 2012 Senem is studying at German Film and Television Academy in Berlin, where she first started off as a producer. Her most recent project being the awarded short film MK3P, which was co-produced by german broadcaster RBB. In this time she also worked for german distributor Piffl Medien.
Since 2016 Senem picked up directing again and is currently working on her first feature length documentary Turkish Riviera, which is now in Post-Production.
